Tiny House Remodel, Bathroom Addition, and Bathroom Remodel in Seattle’s Queen Anne Neighborhood

Carriage House Remodel Project in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle WA by J and M Remodel

Our client had an existing outbuilding—essentially a shed with a living area—on his property, in the Upper Queen Anne area of Seattle. Rents in this area can fetch a premium, and our client wanted to transform this space in order to offer the carriage house as a short-term rental. J & M Remodel worked with the Seattle based architectural design firm Atelier Drome for the project design and best use of the space. The addition of a kitchenette was a critical need. Despite the limited amount of available space, we were able to incorporate the necessary utilities necessary for a well appointed short-term rental property. The bathroom space was maximized by way of an enclosed glass shower. Existing wood paneling was salvaged from the interior demolition of the original structure, and was reused to incorporate a warm, rustic feel. We added a sleeping loft accessed via a modular ladder along with skylights and additional custom windows to match the existing home.
